Anteriormente, fundou a CBRE Portugal em 1988, depois de ter começado na CBRE Madrid em 1987, onde dirigiu as operações em Portugal até 2012. Supervisionou transações imobiliárias comerciais no valor de mais de 1500 milhões de euros e geriu fundos como a Selecta e o Fundo Primeiro Imobiliário (agora Square AM).
Foi membro do conselho de administração da Neoturis, presidiu a ACAI e fez parte da RICS Portugal, onde ajudou a alinhar os programas académicos com os padrões da RICS. É licenciado em Engenharia de Sistemas e tem um mestrado em Finanças pelo ISCTE-INDEG. É membro da RICS e avaliador certificado pela CMVM.
