Anteriormente, fundó CBRE Portugal en 1988, tras comenzar en CBRE Madrid en 1987, donde dirigió las operaciones en Portugal hasta 2012. Supervisó transacciones inmobiliarias comerciales por valor de más de 1500 millones de euros y gestionó fondos como Selecta y Fundo Primeiro Imobiliário (ahora Square AM).
Fue miembro del consejo de administración de Neoturis, presidió ACAI y formó parte de RICS Portugal, donde ayudó a alinear los programas académicos con los estándares de RICS. Es licenciado en Ingeniería de Sistemas y tiene un máster en Finanzas por el ISCTE-INDEG. Es miembro de RICS y tasador certificado por la CMVM.
