MARIA ALVAREZ

Maria is an active proprietary delta one trader, in corporate actions and special situations on listed securities in EU markets. From 2012 to 2019 she was the co-founder of multiplatform with financing lines from BCS/ ED&F Man EUR 250+ million. Previously she was Head of Structuring of the Equities Arbitrage desk at Macquarie Bank in London.

Maria gained her expertise as part of the Structured Capital Markets team of Barclays Capital in London mainly focused on (i) structuring EU equities and debt yield enhancement strategies for the delta1 desk and capital optimisation transactions for European financial institutions; and (ii) structuring, marketing, and executing accounting and tax optimisation products on a principal and proprietary basis in EU, Mexico, Brazil, and Chile equities and credit markets.

Maria started her career practicing law as a corporate M&A and Tax Lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Madrid advising Tier 1 European investment banks on accounting, tax and regulatory treatment of equity and debt. As a corporate lawyer she was involved in Spanish PE deals, IPO tax structuring, and pre/post of corporate reorganizations & refinancing and value enhancement tax structuring on acquisition of real estate companies.

Maria is the co-founder of Lonbali Fashion, S..L., Spanish based fashion company founded in 2017.

Maria holds a degree in Economics & Finance and a degree in Law from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain.

Alex Ohnona

Alex is currently the Managing Partner of Solis Capital, a boutique investment bank working with real estate operators around the world. In his role, he assists partner organizations expand by designing their growth strategy, raising capital and connecting them to the right partners locally.

Prior to this, Alex has held several key roles as one of the first employees at Selina, a hyper-growth hospitality scale-up with 140+ hotels where he hired 200+ people. He initially took charge of developing new product lines (tours and transportation, surf, wellness, education, volunteerism, and retail) for the company, with the intention to create a more holistic offering, increase the revenues and the average length of stay of guests. Alex then built the first partnerships department, overseeing all global deals and creating the infrastructure for local and country level teams to execute their own partnerships. Following this, Alex was put in charge of raising capital to secure Real Estate acquisitions and developments around the world. In this function, he has been an integral part of sourcing, reviewing, concepting, and approving the addition of properties to Selina’s portfolio.

Prior to Selina, Alex was working as part of the strategy team at HCL, a large indian conglomerate. In his function, Alex was working hand in hand with the Chief Strategy Officer of the group, working on opportunities to grow the valuation of the group through the acquisition and consolidation of different companies in selected verticals the group wanted to enter.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Babson College, with a double concentration in Global Business Management and Global & Regional Studies.

FRANCO CAPURRO

Franco is the Chairman at Regenera, an investment corporation for sustainable infrastructure in the Americas and Europe. Regenera finances, builds, and operates sustainable infrastructure to deliver affordable and reliable energy, water, and waste management solutions to its clients. Regenera is currently structuring a USD $250m investment vehicle.

He is also the Co-founder and President at Banverde, Mexico’s first institutionally-backed rooftop solar investment fund that manages a USD $76m financing facility.

Previously he served as the CEO of OneKey Ventures, representing Larrain Vial’s USD $4.2bn mining and energy assets portfolio in China for M&A and project finance transactions. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Franco served as a financial consultant for Banco Santander and BBVA in Peru, Colombia, and Spain, and strategy consultant for tech companies in China and the US.

Franco has been recognized as 40 under 40 by Renewable Energy World and featured in Financial Times, Forbes, NBC News, Entrepreneur.com, Bloomberg, and CNN. He advises Google in their SDG program and was a speaker at the United Nations’ energy conference in Mexico.

Franco holds a master of Science in Management at Babson College and Bachelor in Business and Economics at Universidad de Chile.

Alexandre Mansour

Alexandre is currently the CEO of Nomad Capital, a real estate investment and development company. In his role, he is responsible and accountable for the overall operation and management of real estate developments and investments, as well as their individual performances.

Prior to this, Alexandre worked as a Managing Partner at Optylon Group, a real estate developer in Portugal. In this role, he developed, promoted, and managed some of the company's Lisbon and Porto based projects. Additionally, he participated as the first advisor of LovelyStay, a property and short-term stay management platform with hundreds of apartments managed across Porto, Lisbon, and the Algarve.

Previously, he served as a Managing Partner in AXA Advisors, leading the French desk capital management team in New York. In this position, Alexandre was responsible for asset and investment management of French individuals, corporations and family offices based in the USA. Before moving to the United States, Alexandre was based in Japan, India, China and Romania where he worked in various roles.

Alexandre holds an MBA in International Business and Finance from City University of New York, as well as a Masters in Management & Entrepreneurship from the Superior Institute of Management of Paris.

Carlos TEIXEIRA

Carlos is Senior Partner at Nomad Capital, a real estate investment and development company. In his role, Carlos is responsible for the structuring and management of the company’s projects.

Prior to this, Carlos was part of Optylon Group, a real estate developer in Portugal, where he was involved in the sourcing and analysis of several real estate opportunities and projects.

He participates as a board member of Tabnit, a real estate investment company holding the iconic asset “Palácio do Comércio” in Porto, where he is responsible for the approval and management of the ongoing development of a mixed residential and retail project, also participating as a board member of its holding company.

Carlos has several years tenure in the real estate market where he has participated as senior partner of PHS Consultants, a boutique real estate consulting firm. In this capacity, Carlos was involved in several large deals, including the acquisition of Finangeste to the Bank of Portugal and several other banks, as commercial director of Metalurgica 123, a real estate development company of industrial, logistics and commercial projects. Carlos is a partner and board member at Isegoria Capital, a regulated €350M AUM distressed assets auction house and member of the steering committee of Recactiv, a servicer dedicated to the recovery and management of NPL and REO with over €400M of AUM.

Prior to his real estate career, Carlos came from an industrial background and founded the clothing company Lion of Porches in 2001 where he established over 200 points of sale, in Portugal and internationally, before selling it in 2007. He was also a special attaché of the European Economic Development Council.

Carlos holds a Bachelor in International Business Administration from the American College of Switzerland.
